New Girl

Hello! I just bought my sol, and I love it! I have lots of ideas of what I want to do to it and need some direction. I want to put a ody kit on it, a spoiler, new taillights and headlights, new wheels and tires, but most importantly I want it pink. I need help with finding a proper body shop to paint and add th ebosy modifications. ANy suggestions?

Welcome. I am happy to point you in directon for some performace mods shop. As for body kit's, I couldn't be much help there. try going to auto adventure in portland they always have something or they can order it for you. They can defenitly turn you in the right direction.

Welcome. Glad you enjoy the car so much. We have a Pepto BisSol (as I so affectionately call it) running around over here. My advice: do not get that shade of pink.

Granted it's a ways away for you but Axiom Motors Sports in Lakewood is a Team Sol WA sponsor and gives a discount on all merchandise for ya.

But I'm sure there are more local shops in Portland prolly that can help out just as well.

Good luck with your build. Should try to make it to a meet (next weekend even) if possible. You'll meet a bunch of members and get good help/advice too.

welcome! If at all possible, arrange yourself to show up at the next meet. Although more time will probably spent on the twisties, there should be plenty of time to help you achieve an idea of how you would like the sol to look like.

I honestly believe that there are about 2 or 3 pink sols already running around here in WA. Maybe you'll come across them in your soon to be pink sol haha.

Thanks for all the info! I have been calling around and body shops want uber amounts of money to paint it a hot pink metallic. I think I might just paint it th eoriginal samba green, since the jams are still that color, and have tinkerbelle airbrushed on the hood with her fairy dust shooting down the driver's side. I want to put a spoiler on it, which I just bought one on craigslist for $100. I have been looking at new headlights, taillights, and body kits now. I will definatly make it to a meet hopefully soon. I am stoked because I had the windows tinted to 15% on saturday, looks hot!

Hey this is Dustin, I believe I met you @ the Car toys tent sale thingy. Maybe im wrong, but your talking about making a pink one...so maybe Im right. haha...

Anyways...Just thought I would say hi, offer more help on your sol. Maybe I can finally get a few others around here with sols to get something going soon.
